Shot some footage today and have my resolution set to RAW but not able to view original size on my pc. Just kinda strange that image is shot in raw, information says it is indeed raw. File size suggests that but displays in 960 x 720 pixels only. Anyone ever encounter this before? Using Irfanview 64 bit.  

Figured it out. Lol 2 minutes after posting.  I figured it had to be an Irfanview issue with settings. Sure enough. Unchecked the box that asks to load a smaller image.

Most apps and windows report the embedded preview image size and not the raw size,  for that you need to use an editor that understands raw like Lightroom or ACR.

Fair enough. I use Irfanview mainly as an image viewer and maaaaybe just for a quick crop or resize.

If you’re going to shoot raw you need a raw editor otherwise your shots will look pretty average even compared to the Jpg.   If you need a free raw editor take a look at darktable.org
