There was talk of a Variable zoom lens for the X9 8K being released at NAB 2023 in Las Vegas.

Do we have any updates on that?

There has been one released, but I dont think it works with the air version of the x9 that we use on the inspire 3, just the x9 that is on the ronin 4d

Yes, but they were talking about a specific one for the X9 Air. So just putting the feelers out to see if there are any updates on that.

There was never any talk about this for the X9 Air. The talk was about a telephoto lens... that would be a prime lens and most likely an 80 or 85mm.

Ahh I see, it was my understanding from discussions that it would be similar to the 17-28mm for the 4D.

That's a shame.
