Yes, it is very important that there are liberal rules for drone flights.

Rules are very specific to drone weight and distance to airports and prisons in the UK (above all else). Fly a sub 250g drone 5km from the nearest airport and you can fly almost anywhere here these days. If it's 251g the restrictions start to kick in.

Yes, similar rules exist in many countries. That's why I have several different drones of different weights)

I use to fly the Phantom 4 Pro and Inspire 1 but sold the lot and gave up flying back in Dec 2020. Returned to the hobby in April having bought the Avata 2. amazing drones but I feel there is room for another sub 250g drone just to fly when I don't want to do FPV and with less restictions.

So you're well adversed in FPV then. I'm very new to it but loving every minute of it. Great fun to fly. I'm thinking of learning to fly in manual FPV soon.
