The pitch is horrible on it,  it was described as a buzzer would you believe.

A buzzer is much more square-wave than that. That was just high-pitched sine wave.

It was cheap from HK so what should I expect.

It's setup on a cheap tuya smart switch Ive been testing out,  they worked out to £1.50 each and let me set a schedule to turn on or I can do it remotely from my phone.

Hard to know if it's good as the source sounds pretty terrible :-)

If that is going to be the alarm sound to wake up SWMBO while you are on Dawn Patrol then that will be an Epic fail.

Actually it worked fine this morning,   I watched on the cameras and she was up faster than Ive ever seen her move in the morning.    It truly is an awful sound.

I stand corrected.  Maybe it is more effective on somebody who gets woke up by it.

I already did.   All these early mornings have me dozing off extra early.  

The first time around I listened with the sound off. The second time wasn't much better.

In the winter I make sure she is up before I go out for sunrise,  but now that sunrise is much earlier I have that for the days she doesnt get up,  initially I check the the cameras to see if she was up,  but then I just scheduled it.   And then the one day it doesnt go off she blames me why she hadnt got up.

3 days its automated and the other days I can trigger it remotely if I need to.

If you like that you'd like my automated watering system.  the valves were salvaged from the water entry on a washing machine,   you apply power and they open, remove power and they close,  really nice solution and free if you see a dumped washing machine.
