I figured out how to get the proper SHORTS player window.
Set the media dimensions to 326,752 when inserting the link.

Ive done a few for IG now,  they work well if you can get the right subject,  something just dont fit nicely in that format.

This seems to be a bug for me.  If I upload a reel its fine but if I do it as a post it will zoom to there top right corner of the video,  800% probably.

Ive seen the square thing too,  but this is what I get often.    The before you see the whole view as a rectangle,  then the second its just a random portion over zoomed.

I have only posted shorts recently (video) and from the PC. They start zoomed in a bit until I click 'custom ratio'.

It's right after you upload the video.
So I press the + button, get this form where I can drag or select a video and then that shows a zoomed in version.
(on laptop)
