Thanks I had to look up from the ugly rooftops I was shooting.

That's such a lovely skyline Charles.    NY is unique in that they have downtown, uptown and midtown.

Has NY moved away from the water tanks on the roof,   last I was there they seemed to be everywhere.

Little by little they are going away. The gravity fed reservoirs are much higher in elevation than most of the watertanks and pumps have replaced them elsewhere.

There was one in Brooklyn that was classic. They replaced it with a stained glass water tower that's lit up at night. Many drone pilots capture it. If I'm there at night I'll take one and post it.

I am looking forward to a meeting I'm having this week with one of the drone work aggregators. We are getting some work from AT & T to shoot their cell towers. It should be fun. They have paid for our training. Hoping to get about 50 jobs there in the next month. I might be too busy to post and it may be with a land camera. Looking forward to see what their plans are. It will keep me in the city and I would like to get some flights in in certain areas there.

Wow, that sounds like a great opportunity for you and no doubt you will have limited time for the forum during that evolution.

They gave me a course o RF frequency hazards, Blood born pathogens and noise hazards. I don't know what they think we will be doing but it will be a fun experience. I was told that their are blood born pathogens in rooftop water. They are renting a $30,000 Leica BLK for us to create 3D models of the rooftops and antenna.  We won't be flying in Manhattan. We will be using those cameras and if it works we will expand with the drones in the neighboring areas.

A friend of mine got some great shots. I have been meaning to ask him where he took off from. That seems to be the hardest part in some areas of the city.

Oh yes.  Cities are a pain.  London central is pretty much off limits these days for drones.

My daughter is an ER Trauma Nurse so I've heard of blood borne pathogens getting splashed during trauma treatments. However, blood borne pathogens in rooftop water is one I've never heard of.  Good thing they provided training on that for you.

Same here. I have an engineer asking me to do Facade work. It's scary. we have class B airspace overlapping from Newark and La Guardia. The steel and concrete cause intererence. It's tough.

The larger companies are taking precautions. As a previous EMT I don't see the risk.

Well it is much better to err on the safe side.  Definitely not worth the chance of being exposed to any of the blood borne pathogens, especially Hepatitis.

I can't imagine Hep living in roof water but I won't be splashing and bathing in it.

I'm still trying to wrap my brain around blood borne pathogens in roof top water.  Must be true or else why would they provide training on it.
