I have made made some tests in my studio with the DJI MIC 2 and how it sounds comparing it to a professional shotgun mic, and what is the best placement for a studio recording. Hope it helps the community.

Strange, so your recommendation is to place mic2 closer to neck and I have exactly the opposite experience. Close to neck = muffled, in the middle of chest clean and crisp

I have tested approximately 100 microphones until now. both for producing commericals and used for youtube. Yes..some of them have different pickup patterns...
