A friend photographer took pictures of My Assistant and I flying from the rooftop of a building yesterday.

Nice capture of the dynamic duo in action.  Good to see you all geared up per OSHA requirements.

I always fly with a spotter for work, so i can concentrate on the shots. I look at the screen and she tells me if im clear in the direction im going.

I think so. In New york it stops people from bothering you and asking questions. Also if there is heavy machinery moving and I'm looking at the drone at least they can see me.

Nobody ever approached me when I flew my Inspire 1 despite it weighing kilos but the Spark turned a few heads - which is crazy. It's all about perception.

The last nature shoot I went on, Nina lost an athletic shoe in the mud, so I bought her a pair of construction boots where I bought mine. They are called everboots. Steel toe, OSHA specs which is required on construction sites not to violate their rules. These were only $65.00. I took my OSHA training so the construction so the managers would feel comfortable with us on the site. I am requiring my VO to do the same. We didn't know what we didn't know on construction sites. It's an easy way to get hurt.

You cant go wrong for that sort of money,    I know when Ive done work on building sites in the past you do get some idiots that dont understand simple rules,    I also once did some work on a roof (snagging a installation) and this guy was complaining that on the roof there was nothing that could fall on him so he didnt need the hard hat.

Sometimes you don't know what you don't know. I didn't realize how many hazards there where until I went for my safety certification with OSHA, Then I woke up.
