Flew our Inspire 2 after updating DJI Go 4 to Version 4.3.3. Weather conditions were perfect. No wind. Shortly after take-off drone would not stop drifting and no error messages were coming up on the screen. The I2 collided with the brick façade of a nearby building and went down onto a concrete sidewalk. It is totaled. Reviewed flight records and see the following errors in the order listed.
Home Point Recorded, Landing Gear lowered, Gimbal Roll Reached Movement Limit, Gimbal Pitch Reached Movement Limit (we were not touching the gimbal), IMU Redundancy Switch, Gimbal Yaw Reached End Point, Satellite Positioning Off. Fly With Caution, Weak GPS signal, Obstacle Avoided, Motor obstructed, In Flight working compass encounters magnetic-field interference, please switch to atti mode if craft behave abnormally.
Has anyone experienced this? Could this be due to a firmware glitch?
Apparently GPS lock have been lost, causing the drone to enter Atti Mode and drifting with flight momentum at this time. Additionally compass readings were obstructed. This may happen in city environment with tall buildings in proximity. Good satellite count at the ground before take off is a must, yet it may change at any time.
Said that, your bird may be a victim of recent FW versions (.0100 or .0200) abnormalities. Your chance is to supply DJI with flight log for analysis. |
