Hi,

Why is the distance Drone to HomePoint important ?

Jjb* did the flightlog record a comment about the change of home point ?

Just as a matter of interest did the message contain "Home Point" ( with a gap and CAPITAL letters ) or was it "homepoint" ( no gap and all lowercase letters ) ?.
I ask because I ran a Linux "grep" on my downloaded flight logs and found, I think, 20 to 30 "homepoint" something messages in 2500 logs.
To be honest I thought that that count was a bit low and I am wondering if I ran the 'wrong' search.
I haven't run it on my own logs yet.

nah, not possible ofcourse, HP posution is stored in the drone, so how would it be possible to reset that stored position to more accurate position when drone is flying somewhere else ?

cheers

As time goes by, the GPS Data may get more accurate.
The fly app is doing the calculation, perhaps?
If it is doing it, why not recognizing/calculating a better accuracy b/c of more sats ?
(And in case we believe,  that waypoint flying needs the remote-drone connection, since fly app, it should be able to do so. But, of course, the connection loss can be just "a switch", to stop the drone , to further execute a mission?)

How many satellites is your log showing in the beginning? Big changes to the 18/20, later?

Hi,

In all my flights (and all other the logs i see) HP data is never changed on its own.

When i fly away without GPS lock, and get a HP set with for expample 11 sats, during flight i get 31 sats than HP data is not changed.

So it is not normal that HP data stored in the drone is changed.

DJI is busy with this issue.

cheers

DJI drones don't go back and revise past location data.

Maybe 20 seconds into a flight if GPS reception was sketchy, but not after 7 minutes of flying.
If it worked as you suggest, we'd all see it in our data all the time.

Since I am not checking flightlogs that much, as long my drone is not having problems, I would not know about.
Also I am open for changes with every software update.

But it is probably not a feature, you guys check and know more about this things.
It was just a thought.
