I've been making videos for a few years now, and I have to say the Spark has quickly become a favorite among all of my camera equipment. This is my first drone, and within literally 2 minutes I was zipping around in sport mode, and already taking slow multiple-input cinematic shots and loving the footage I was getting. There is something nice about only having to deal with 1080p in editing. Less file transfer times, and to be quite honnest, the majority of us probably are still reading this on a 1080p monitor.

Anyways, here's a video of some canoe camping I just edited. Filmed on DJI Spark and GoPro Hero 4 Silver only. Edited with Final Cut Pro X.

Only had two batteries! But I did have a powerpack in the Spark bag (Anker PowerCore 20100mAh Portable Charger), which I used to bring one of the batteries back up to full while I wasn't filming. I did just receive a third battery in the mail yesterday. Thing is, if you plan your shots before you start the Spark, you really don't need to fly for more than a couple minutes at a time.

Yea, depends on what the Spark means to you. I think of the Spark as a tool for filming, and if I'm taking too much care of it I'm loosing out on great shots. To each their own, but in the end it's only money. I'm looking for capturing experiences, which to me are far more valuable.

I agree...but man, I get super nervous over water...flew it out last night over a lake to capture some kayakers that I was paddling with and my fingers were shaking on the sticks.  No reason for it to just become a rock at the bottom of the lake, but where I'm in shallow water, I know I could retrieve it should it fail.  In deep water, it freaks me out a bit more...

Same hear , had mine 3 weeks with zero flights.  I also have a phantom I use very often in Miami fl

If you're not using the OTG cable already, in my opinion it's worth it.

It definitely is. I carried a GoPro kit larger than the Spark bag with me on a 50 day Europe backpacking trip.

I used the included 16GB microSD card. 16 gigs goes quick so I'll probably be swapping in my 64GB card from my GoPro.
