I'm having a problem withe DJI app and IOS, it refuses to keep location service checked in IOS. I keep turning it on to "always" and it keeps just turning off to nothing checked.. it wont save its location settings... Anyone else having this issue?

I did uncheck use cellular service in IOS and when I opened the app and go to location services and set it to always, "Find my phantom" will display the home point if I open up the app before.  However now I have to do that everytime and it's annoying.  It wasn't like that before.  I did upgrade my range extender through the app and running 8.2 IOS.  This just started with 3.12 update and DJI App Version: 1.0.48 update.  Any work around?

I wouldn't call that an answer.  Something is wrong with app code in IOS and this just started with the new update.  Is DJI looking into this because before it always stayed checked in IOS before 3.12 and 1.0.148 update, now I have to go back and forth to make sure it's checked to get dynamic home point to work.

Hmmm, I've read the prior thread and I've turned cell data on & off for the DJI app but the only way I can get location to stay check is open up the app first, go back into location setting in IOS, check always and go back into the app, and home point shows up in "Find my Phantom".  However, it doesn't stay if I close out the app, you have to do this each time which is annoying.  I just wonder why it won't stay and keeps resetting.

I don't know what you have for a viewer, I'm only telling you what works for what I have.  In the 2 tablets that I have do not have internet connection because no sim cards.  That might have something to do with it.  I use Bluetooth to connect to my Phantom network.

My tablet has IOS 8.13, it's the latest update for the tablet to come in when it checks for the automatic update checks.  The phones I am not familiar with as I don't use them.

If you want to fix this problem I suggest you do the following. But first let me ask this question.. Did you upgrade the range extender via the app?? If so, you will need to revert the range extender to its original factoring settings.. And do the rebinding process.. Once you done all that uninstall the app. Turn off your phantom completely including the range extender.. Reinstall the app.. Check that everything is working now and that the location stays... Then upgrade the extender again via the app and power cycle everything again and it should all work just fine.. That's what I did to fix this problem on my iPad air2cell+wifi/mini3cell+ and in my iPhone 6 Plus

Yes, I upgraded the range extender.  I'll try your suggest method and update.  How do you reset the range extender, just take a pin and push the small button?  Thanks!
