South Korea Drone Flight: South Korea, an East Asian nation on the southern half of the Korean Peninsula, shares one of the worlds most heavily militarized borders with North Korea. Its equally known for its green, hilly countryside dotted with cherry trees and centuries-old Buddhist temples, plus its coastal fishing villages, sub-tropical islands and high-tech cities such as Seoul, the capital. Seouls attractions include futuristic Dongdaemun Design Plaza, a curving convention hall; Gyeongbokgung Palace, which once had more than 7,000 rooms; the ritzy Gangnam neighborhood; and Lotte World, an indoor-outdoor amusement park. To the north lies the DMZ buffer zone where visitors can peer into North Korea. In the south, the city of Busan is known for the high-rise-lined Haeundae Beach and mountainside Beomeosa Temple. The city of Gyeongju features royal tombs and an observatory from the Silla dynasty. Jeju Island is a honeymoon destination of beaches, waterfalls, volcanic craters and lava caves. Gyeongju Drone Flight: Gyeongju is a city on South Koreas southeast coast. It was the capital of the 1,000-year-long Silla dynasty, and is known for its extensive historical remains. The 8th-century Bulguksa Temple features twin stone pagodas, a series of wooden staircases and a large bronze Buddha. Nearby, Seokguram Grotto houses a towering seated Buddha and offers panoramic views of the sun rising over the Sea of Japan. Gyeongju National Museum houses thousands of Silla artifacts, including gold crowns from the royal tombs and a massive bronze bell. The cylindrical Cheomseongdae is a 7th-century astronomical observatory made of granite. The 7th-century Bunhwangsa pagoda is guarded by 4 stone lions and adorned with granite lotus blossoms. Near the ruined Silla royal palace of Banwolseong lies Anapji, a pond with island pavilions illuminated at night. South Korea Drone Flight: Suwon is the capital of Gyeonggi Province, in northwestern South Korea. Its known for the late-18th-century Hwaseong Fortress, with its commanding stone wall and 4 pagoda-topped arched gates. Near Hwahongmun Gate, Hwaseong Haenggung Palace has a traditional banquet hall. The raised Yeonmudae Post, once a military training ground, offers fortress views. Suwon Hwaseong Museum explores the construction of the fortress. Near the curved Paldalmun fortress gate, Yeongdong Market specializes in colorful traditional garments. The citys Hyowon Park is home to Wolhwawon Gardens Chinese-inspired pavilions. Southeast of the park, the high-tech Samsung Innovation Museum explores the history of electronics. Suwon Museum has calligraphy exhibits and ancient artifacts. In the southern Songsan-dong district, Buddhist relics at the 18th-century Yongjusa Temple include a large sacred bell. Stone statues and lotus-flower carvings decorate the Joseon-era Yungneung and Geolleung Royal Tombs.
