It is possible to download pictures directly from the tablett (samsung) instead of to plug a cable on the bird.
For video it's fine, files are also locaded as well on the tablett

The camera actually records both video and photos into the DCIM folder on the micro SD card that's plugged into the camera slot. So you must transfer them from the SD card.  The videos you see on your samsung are there because you've set the DJI Pilot App to cache video locally. There are several ways to transfer the data -> via cable, as you mentioned; remove the sd card and place it in a card reader connected to your samsung or PC, or tablet; put the sd card INTO your Samsung (if it will accept a micro SD card)....

If you shoot in JPG you can transfer images from the Phantom to the tablet over lightbridge.

Just press the play button on the RC and your tablet will display the videos and images. The limitation is JPG for stills and up to 1080p for video.

I'm getting a connection error when trying to transfer JPG stills over lightbridge.  I've done this many times before with no problem.   Does anyone know what would cause this?   I don't even see the pictures in the editor.  I can copy from the sd card manually with no problem.

The usual (and fastest) way to transfer photos and videos is to pull the SD card, put it in an adaptor and copy to your computer.
No need to mess around with cables or Lightbridge at all.

The advantage of using Lightbridge is you can download and send from a remote location (without the need of a computer) as long as you have Internet connection.
