Good morning all


Strange thing happend to my Phatom 3 Pro

I've faced with No signal issue after uptate to latest Firmware my P3P (iOS app 2.5.2, RC 1.5.70, Aircraft 1.5.30)I read every official and unofficial thread about the update process.
I did format my SD card with ExFat and Fat32 several times, using Windows, Mac and tried to renew firmware, but I hear only long D (beep)
I did format my sd card using the DJI GO app as well.
I did change ios to android, cables, SDs, etc etc etc
So I can control my P3P but cannot see video feed. Even I can make photo and check it later on PC.



I'm empty for new thoughts, hope somebody can help me.

Aloha g3n0n,

     Apple products have a big problem unless your Remote controller is attached to your iPad or iPhone with a Lightning cable.  Also both iOS and Android tablets and phones have so many extras that run at the same time they use up the processor time and the memory use.  Disable or uninstall unneeded apps and reduce any apps that run in the background to 1.  The only apps you need are those that support DJI Go, accessing the Internet and running the device.  News feeds and useless toy store apps are trouble.

I think this is very strange that both device have same problem. Maybe bug comes from the bird or RC....
Latest firmware could be wrong, not sure about it.

Reset your Android pad to factory defaults. When prompted set up your network and email account only. Go to your Playstore account and immediately turn off automatic updates in the settings under "my apps". Download the latest version of DJI Go and nothing else. I bet it works!

P.S. I had the exact same problem with both of my tablets as well. Since I did the reset and turned off automatic updates I have been flying Litchi GS missions of up to 6 miles with good video signal throughout my flights. YMMV.

The update from 1.4.1 to 1.5.3 is not succeeding. Do this at your own risk, it has worked for me many times. Erase everything from your SD card. Copy only the 1.5.3 .bin file to the SD card. Locate the link button on the right side of the bird. Use a paper clip or toothpick and try depressing the button a few times (with the bird off) just to get familiar with it. Once you are familiar with it put the SD card with the .bin file in the bird, put a fresh battery in the bird. Take the paper clip or toothpick and depress and hold the link button. While keeping the link button depressed power up the bird, continue to hold the button in until you hear the first "zup...zup" sound. As soon as you hear that sound release the link button. The bird should start doing a clean install of the 1.5.3 firmware. Make sure you let the update complete fully. The LED light on the front of the camera will continue to flash green/red until it is complete. Once it has completed the LED should be a solid green. Power of the bird, put the SD card in your computer and check your log file again. The last line on the file should say "success".

This update can take from 5 to 25 minutes to complete.

Hi Jerry, thanks. So I did as per your instructions, but unfortunately still have same long D during update.
What I did: format sd, put there 1.5 firmware, hold this small button, switch on the bird. Zup zup, zup zup. Then sound become as usual firmware updates. Then after few minutes - long DDDDddddd... Maybe I should try to install previous firmware? 1.4? ( Update: just tried 1.4. Same result.

The DDDDdddd is not abnormal. What does the LED on the front of the camera do? If it's blinking red and green then it's doing the update. As previously noted the update can take anywhere from 5-25 minutes to complete. I'm getting a little nervous that you are not letting it complete the process. Tell me what the LED on the front of the camera is doing during the update.

No, if the LED is solid red it's not taking the update. If I were you I'd put the 1.4.3 .bin file back on the SD card and do the same process with the link button. See if you can get a clean install of 1.4.3. If that works, I'd download another copy of the 1.5.3 firmware from the DJI site and try it again. It's possible that the file somehow got corrupted. If it doesn't work, I'm running out of ideas.

Now that you've cleaned your pad up with the factory reset, if 1.4.1 installs properly, try firing up your bird and see if you get the camera view on your pad before you try 1.5.3 again. Turn on the RC first, then the bird.

I had this problem out of the box, I formatted the memory card in the drone, and put the update on it. No dice, it wasn't until I reinstalled teh DJI GO app on my phone that it started working again. FWIW i'm not an expert yet, but I'm commenting out of curiosity to see what worked for you.

Make sure you try 1.4.1 without the link button as well. Sorry to see you having such a mess. I don't think you ever got it to successfully take 1.5.3 but remember if you did or do get to 1.5.3 you will not be able to downgrade to 1.3.2 anymore. I guess I would concentrate on getting it back to 1.4.1. If you fire up the system, RC, tablet, DJI Go and bird, what does the "about" section in DJI Go say? What versions is it showing in DJI Go? If you can even get to that now.

Did you try before to use some service bin or some method to make factory reset?

BTW, not sure 100% but this firmware update failed during camera / gimbal update, coz camera was moving and self testing, then long D.....

I'm not aware of anyway to do a complete "factory reset". It sure would alleviate a lot of issues if there was a way to do so.

Just for the heck of it you may want to check all of the connectors going to the camera. I had a similar issue with my P2 a long time ago and one of the cables wasn't fully seated. Just something to check.

My problem is similar. I was able to successfully upgrade the firmware for the P3P, but unable to upgrade the firmware for the remote controller because my iPhone 6S plus with the latest DJI GO App could not go to Camera View.

Hello, if you turn on the R/C and your phone with the USB cable connected it should tell you that the R/C needs to be updated? If you cannot get into the "camera View" screen you can swipe to the left or right to another model then swipe back to yours and you should be able to get into the app. from there you can get into the general settings and scroll down to about to see what version the R/C is on.

I wouldn't like to say that  but please contact your dealer about that . I'm afraid you'll have to send it to repair center .

Hello Everyone,

I've been having the exact same problem as g3n0n and my Phantom 3 Professional is brand new. The packet upgrade always fails at version checking [0800] and [1500].

App: Android 2.4.3
Remote Controller: 1.5.70
Firmware: 1.5.0030 and 1.4.0010  (both fail at the same place referenced above.)

I submitted a support ticket to DJI and they didn't respond. After a week passed by, I started writing on forums and finally received a response saying:

"Greetings.

Thank you for contacting DJI. and sorry to keep you waiting for a long time.

Please try as following:
1.reformat SD card by DJI GO and upgrade 1.5.0030 again.
2.change another SD card to upgrade
3.try to upgrade 1.4.0010.

If it still showed ""0800,1500 not detected",it need to be sent back for repair.

Hello Rusty and for those who update and are seeing the same thing with the 8 and 15 not detected.
If you cannot downgrade to 1.4 and you've tried several times and cannot get the video back by having a successful 1.5 update, or successful downgrade to 1.4 then you will need to send the aircraft back for repair and it will be covered by the warranty.
