No, that is my current fleet or RC collection of flyers. ;-)
I also have a nitro burning big block funny car, '69 Charger RT with wheelie bar.

I love this stuff, a lot. My only regret is not getting into the RC hobby sooner in life.
But with the technology and ever growing innovations today, the present time is pretty exciting.
My smaller drones of what's in the collection, really are toys, but were all very helpful in learning the basics and mostly are pretty crash resistant.
The Parrot AR Drone 2.0 was my very first flyer, and it pretty much all grew from there.
This hobby can get very expensive, and for the Voltage 500, I still need an SBUS, a few 3S and 4S batteries, plus my first balanced charger.

And the Canadian dollar is at an all time low, thanks to low oil prices, so this stuff is all quite pricey these days.

I havent figured out how to configure a sig in this forum but I love your story!

My first real drone was also the AR.Drone.
RC has been on and off in my blood ever since I was a kid, umm wait a small kid (Still a kid)
By combining some of my greatest pleasures like RC, Photo and Travel the hobby took off like a spacecraft!
This grin still doesent wanna leave my ugly face despite recent setback.


The drone family quickly grew, in about the same pace my economy shrunk


Now I cant even find all of my RC stuff and the hobby keeps growing in all kinds of directions.

Yeah, for a SIG, there is no configuring to do, just place it in each post, manually.
This forum doesn't have any... ;-)

Anyways, yes, I too wonder, who has been on the RC, for a good length of time?

Got my first U-control in 1956 (.029 gas engine).
First R/C plane was a Cub with a Heathkit controller (1967) - 27 MHz.

When ESCs, brushless motors and LiPo batteries came along everything changed for the better!

I enjoy reading about personal experiences in those early days of this RC world.
It must have been fun, even back when, the electronics and digital devices weren't even a day dream thought yet. ;-)

Hard to believe how far and fast technologies are growing, changing and developing at such at pace today.
I hope to see many Incredible new developments in the next couple of years. It should get real interesting very soon, particularly on the drone front.
Their widespread interest and with new companies coming on board every month. Drones are definately here to stay. For a long time.
Some hobby shops have nearly lost all the regular RC helicopter business, due to the huge demand for quadcopters and multi rotor models "flying" off the store shelves.
I heard one RC store manager mention that he can't hardly keep product on the shelf, and that customers had been let down, with no supplies available for several more weeks.
Drone sales are above everything else. As the storm spreads far and wide. ;-)
Intriguing times, this is. And will be  Hehe

l started with smaller drones - a Syma and an HT F803, then graduated to a P2V+V3, then onto the P3P.
Since getting the P3 l've had no interest in the others. l gave the Syma and the P2 away. l only have the HT because nobody's shown an interest in it, lol.
l'm completely hooked on the P3, but not drones or RC in general l guess.

I got it as a practice for my Streak-800 Hexa.
Got a few smaller again ones not long after the P1

Well, for gosh sakes, post a few pics of your awesome aircraft guys, I need more visual stimuli...  ;-)

Perhaps not. You all may have to register everything you've got, with spinning blades and an electric or nitro burning motor...

Including that fancy kitchen sink garburator you installed last spring. Hahaha

The larger ones are more careful but they can climb your charger!


Once I even tried to keep the LiPo's in my office.


Cant trick the kids for long though. They seem to allways find a way.
