Hi gang, long time listener, first time caller -- this looks like a tremendously helpful bunch, so I'm hoping I can solve this:

I have a Phantom 3 Pro that I have used a handful of times (have a couple of P2V+ that I loved, but DJI's evolution so got this one), and I tried to update it, which it apparently didn't like. It was (and has continued to do so) start into the update for about 20 seconds and then the lights go solid red, combined with a solid beeeeeeep. I've got 2 batteries, so many micro SD's from the Osmo and other toys, and I've tried new micro SD cards and swapping batteries to no avail. Everything is charged, putting the SD card in before turning the drone on, and I don't know how to get it updated. It will actually fly, but I can't see anything on my phone when it's connected. It does record videos, but doesn't matter much if I can't see.

Please let me know if I can provide photos/more information etc. Hoping to take it to Bali for a swimsuit shoot I'm doing, so I promise your advice will be repaid with videos!

Cheers,
Anton

I should mention too so I don't get flamed for not searching for this... I've seen some people have issues with firmware, and they've "gone back" with older versions" but not on a P3P. Love to have your insight

What firmware did you update from? What update did you update to? If you skipped over a couple of updates to the latest one, you might have to go back and update in sequence.

It was from 1.4 to 1.8 that gave me the error. I tried skipping that with the 1.9 but that hasn't worked either. Attached the txt for your reference, @mjl. Thanks!

Tested it today, flies fine, but says that the image transmission is lost, so I'm basically flying blind. Images look gorgeous, except they aren't really framed well at all because I can't see what I'm doing. Still can't get a successful firmware update going. Love to have some help.  DJI Go app on iPhone 6S+ telling me firmware update required but also failing almost immediately.
