Hi guys,

Just finished the video editing of my last trip to the Maldives doing a dive safari. The video combines shots from a GoPro 4 Black and for aerial of course from the Mavic Pro.
I Thought it was worth sharing it with you.

@fan06928933 well, you can control manually shutter speed and iso and as for the filters, I do have them now but by the time I went there (beginning of january) I did not as they arrive too late, while I was there ☹️. And yes, the world is wonderful and even more now that we can get some new perspectives! So much to discover...!!'

Great images captures above and under the water. Did you get to see the Whale Shark? I was in Maldives in January but I did not get the chance to see it, although we look for it during a whole day!!....it menas I will have to go back, and now with my Mavic Pro ;)

Stunning!  The shots from the Mavic are some of the best I've seen quality wise.  Nice saturation, and beautiful crisp video.

May I ask if you shot in D-Log and graded yourself?  Or did you auto color?

First of all thank you guys for your nice feedback! I did enjoy that week, the shooting, the video editing remembering it all and of course flying my drone which thankfully did not give me any bad surprises so...

@Daley Hey, I'm glad you liked it, Thanks for the comment. It was indeed a unforgettable week! As for the settings, I did use the DJI Go App. All was shot in 4K at 25p. As I did not have any filters (they arrived a week later ) I had to set the rest in auto mode  with some changes on the shutter speed though. And for whom might be interested the editing was made with Edius.

@bbbbbb Our liveaboard was excellent with even a brand new boat. I hope yours will be as nice as ours. Only tip I might give you is to get a hook as you may find some currents in some dives and it was hard to shoot underwater with one hand hanging from a rock and the other trying to stabilize with the current while shooting!! As for the rest... enjoy the views, both over and underwater! Oh.. and if you plan on flying a drone beware of the birds coming from the islands, mainly at dusk! I had to do some acrobaties to get my drone back without a scratch! :S

@Juanreta_garcia Thanks for your comment! Well, we did try  during a full day too to seek for whale sharks but nothing appeared. It seems next week had been better... too bad. Hoppefully I could see one in Thailand in the liveaboard we did over there! Best luck next time I guess! The sea decides.... that's how it works to delight us  with some wonderful surprises!

@ArtistFirst  Thank youuu!! It was shot in standard mode but with some minor color and contrast corrections under Edius. And those are compressed video files... imagine the original one! Mavic did a good job in focusing!
I am next week leaving to Reunion Island and will of course take the drone with me. I hope I will get also some nice aerial views of that wonderful Indian ocean island to share it with you!!

Hi! Yes, for underwater I've got two flood lights of 1200 lumens each plus a red filter. Else colours would be too blueish.
