I tested 2 scenarios with my Mavic:
a) went up on a mountain road by car with Mavic activ-tracking me.  Starting out with some 40m of altitude above ground all of a sudden the  drone was right behind the car at the same altitude as my car was at.
b) skiing downhill with my Mavic activ tracking me. There I noticed that  while of course I ski downhill lowering my altitude, the drone always  stayed at the same altitude as it started out.

So my question is if there is a mode which lets the drone also change  altitude according to the object it is following. Not everybody is  filming himself fishing or taking a walk.

If not, this would be a NICE feature to build in future releases as the  drone could easily get the GPS altitude from the controller, thus always  knowing alti changes.
