Just wondering if I do my commercial licence in the U.K. (where I currently live), is is transferable to Australia (where we are looking to emigrate to), or would I need to do the RePL after I move?
Obviously don't want to pay twice if I don't have to, just not sure due to the different governing bodies.

Depends on what you are flying. For sub 2kg, line of sight, it is an application for an Aviation Reference Number (ARN) then a nomination of the area you will be flying in. Contact CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) for the info you need. Check here for general information:
