The drone doesn't go up 60 feet in during a Dronie Quickshot. It just backs up and tries to find something to hit. It seems to go up a little in in Helix but takes off hundreds of feet and get's lost before the first quarter turn. Please see https://goo.gl/photos/TuNX3qjP2hVjQdYY9 to see what I mean.

I agree with all of the results here. Quick shots have been mostly useless, which is one of the primary reason's I wanted the Spark.

Agree... I also have a very flat dronie, it does not go high at all.

Helix takes so long to do a rotation that it is very far away before it even did 180 degrees.

I wonder if the path it follows is a calculation related to max altitude/distance.
For example if you have max altitude 120m dronie goes to 10% e.g. 12 meters.
But if you set max 500m it would go to 50m or something like that?

If you have max distance 100m it takes helix 50 meters out before it has rotated 180 degrees.

It would be great if we could manually adjust the quickshot parameters.

I won't receive my Spark for 2 more days but this thread is disappointing.  Quick shots is one of the selling points that made me order the Spark.  Hopefully DJI gets an update sent out to fix this in a quick time frame.

Methinks there be a firmware update on the horizon as this is a widespread issue.

Thanks for sharing your videos, and thoughts.  I'm certainly hoping there will be updates or tips on making these features work as promoted, as it's likely that most buyers really wanted the QuickShots features to function.

Helix is useless, at least without RC, it goes away 80m and loses connection. Had to RTH

To DJI: dronie mode was literally the only reason I purchased the Spark.
(I'll try it out tomorrow and hopefully it'll work; if not, i'll probably send it back...)

Hi guys, I got the same issue as well, I have raised this concern to DJI support team but no answer yet.
There is another thread related to this as wel: https://forum.dji.com/thread-100894-1-1.html
We all got the same issue. Let's put some pressure on DJI team to fix this ASAP since we all agree that quickshot is the selling point, the main reason we buying Spark. and we surely do not want our $500 flies away and looking in vain.
In the mean time, to enjoy Spark, I have a suggestion that keep your eye on the range, when Spark nearly out of your wifi range (For phone it is 100m Distance and 50m Height) immediately hit the 'X' to stop and manually pilot it back. Doing so, you know that Spark still in your control.

Glad I'm not alone on this one! Circle seems to work fine on cell phone alone. Dronnie, Heilix, and rocket don't work with cell phone control.

I created a ticket on the DJI Zendesk so maybe they'll answer and fix soon.

Hi guys, I got answer from the support team already. Please see as following:
"For the Quick Shot, please make sure the camera has captured the object before moving on. If the same issue appeared in your drone, we would like to have the flight records and Main Control data to check the exact reason.
Thank you for attention and support of DJI.
Best Regards,
Maggie
DJI Technical Support"
I think one of the reason could be because I chose the wrong target on the phone? Can you guys try again and make sure:
1. The Spark is at least 1.5m from the ground (as manual page 17).
2. As the support team said, please make sure you choose the correct object.
If still have issue, please send the email to the support team  "flight records and Main Control data" for them to study on this.
Today is raining, I will try again tomorrow to see.
Keep this thread alive guys!

I'm sorry for the inconvenience, could you please help to export the flight data and send to us by DJI Assistant 2? And the specific time of Helix and Dronie as well.  I will forward to our engineer for further analysis. Appreciate your cooperation.
