I was flying with the controller.... got about 200 ft away, lost connection to the drone, luckly it returned home....
But, now my controller is just sitting flashing red... and the battery indicator is flashing the right most led. If i hit the power button in the way to shut it off it does a fast beeping....

Can't connect to the controller via wifi.... it won't let me connect...

Do i have to wait till the battery dies to do anything with it ?

I'm sorry for the trouble caused. Please try this way to turn off the RC: keep pressing Flight Pause Button,  press once, then again and hold on the Power button to force to turn off the RC.
After that,  turn on the RC normally to check if the beeping sound still exists.
In addition, please check the version of your RC to make sure the firmware is the latest one.
Please keep us updated if the problem will be solved or not.

Have you tried relinking the remote to the Spark using the buttons on the remote?  

I know of the remote reset procedure for all other DJI remotes but the Spark remote does not have the C1 and C2 buttons on the back.

Try resetting the RC by using the following button combination:

* Turn on the controller, and the aircraft should be off.
* Press C1, C2, and shutter on the controller then turn the controller off.
* Turn on both the aircraft and the controller







So, I guess DJI will need to answer how your do a default remote controller reset on the Spark unit.

That worked! My wife had to do it for me, i was getting too frustrated! But, it worked! Thank you! I had done the firmware update right before that flight.

I have no wife but the same problem.
Pressing the flight pause button and power is not helping.
Can some for me stupid explain that step ??

I had that problem the day it was delivered after (2) batteries worth of flights.

What I did notice was the bottom of the Remote was very warm and the beeping was driving me crazy.

I placed the Remote Controller into the freezer for about 25 minutes, pulled it out and then followed the normal power down on the Remote.  It powered down normally.

Nextt day when I powered everything up, all was good and it had been ever since.

Hahahahha
