I am going to my friend's lake house, and I am planning on bringing my drone. I want to get cool shots of the lake, both close up and far away, I heard you should turn off some of the visual navigation settings, but I am not sure which ones. Also, just any tips in general? Good shots that you like doing on water that I should try out? Thanks!
If your flying low over water you only need to turn off VPS you can do this in the app, if your flying above 45 ft no need to turn anything off.
Camera settings will just depend on your lighting conditions, just make sure you have RTH set properly and give yourself plenty of battery to get home.

Visual Positioning System. There are some excellent resources on YouTube that will help you learn to properly operate and understand your Mavic. I highly recommend you seek them out.

Another tip would be to put some floats on Mavic. They do not need to be quite big only they can carry 1000 grams. Then are Mavic not sinking if .................... to the bottom of the river/lake/sea and can be retrieved later.

Regards Leif.
the issue with the floats is that they add too much drag to the Mavic making it slower, specially in windy conditions

Safety first young man, otherwise you will not be very old !!!

In windy conditions you may have your bird carried away with those big floaters... this can be a safety issue as well...
Then you can not fly and fly that day. Safety before fun.
