Hello
I will have to do a 2 hours stop over in LAX in July to go in Polynesia.
I know I will have to pass customs and security control.
I heard about required registrations for drones in US and I'm wondering if I need to have one for this stop over.
Thank you for your advices
Best regards
Olivier

You should have nothing to worry about as the registration law recently changed so recreational drone pilots no longer need to register.  See here.

Even when the registration law was in place, there would have been no problem. Either way, the registration was for the person flying the drone, not the drone itself.

If you have any concerns, why not contact the airline and see what they advise? The Mavic is pretty small so perhaps custom may not be as concerned. However, you also want to contact the host country to see what they have to say.

If you don't fly it, then there is nothing to worry about.

Yes, good advice... don't fly it in the airport!
