I have the latest version of the DJI Go app and have a question related to Home Point being updated. I have common practice of updating the home point at every new or revisited location. Often when I am calibrating a new home point, I receive a verbal “The Home Point has been updated" and location on the map is correctly displayed. Is this automated now and can I be confident it has updated.   

If the voice tells you the home point has been updated, then it has. But why do you need to do this? When you start the motors on the ground it sets that point as the home point automatically every time.

Yes, the home point is an automatic function.

Every model Phantom has automatically set the home point when it first gets GPS reception.
There's no need to set it yourself.

I set mine manually from time to time it doesn't hurt to do so.
