Any recommendations on video edit programs instead of using the ones from the editor in DJ Go app?

Final Cut is $$$ ....if you have that to spend, then great!

If not, low learning curve is iMovie obviously.. if you want a step up in functionality (and learning curve) but also free then check out DaVinci Resolve 14 https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/uk/products/davinciresolve

Also I think that there is a free version of DaVinci out there somewhere

Yep, thats what i use.

$299 for Final Cut Pro is too expensive for me.  I'm not a video/photo professional so I just can't justify that cost for the video's that I put together.  iMovie works great for me and it's free.  I just do it for fun so I don't need all the fancy extra's that Final Cut Pro gives you.

DaVinci Resolve is free for personal use.

If you want a step up in functionality from iMovie, give DaVinci a shot.. it has colour grading features that are a step up from the magic wand in iMovie

I've not mastered it yet, it's on the to-learn list!

I did actually download the free version of DaVinci Resolve a few weeks ago but I haven't had time to figure it out yet.  Until then, I'll just use iMovie.
