I had no issues the first day of flying. However, yesterday the app crashed twice on each flight as well as today it crashed twice. The app just closes and goes back to my phones home screen. Firmware says its up to date and I even tried reinstalling the app. My android is up to date as well. No other apps running in the background either. PS3 still responds to controller when it happens....thankfully. Starting to get annoyed.

Sorry to hear that, what mobile device are you using? Have you tried to run the DJI GO APP when your phone is in the Airplane mode?

It seems that DJI Go does not work well in Android 7. DJI Diana probably can clarify that better. It does not work for me on Moto Z Play on Android 7. At the end, I have bought a Zenpad S3 10 tablet with Android 6, no problem whatsoever now.

I still have a Samsung Galaxy S3. I might try the app on it and see what happens.

Many people do not realise that versions after 6.0.1 are not actually Google Authors .. but modified versions by brands that agree to stay in the Android scheme. This leads to some weird happenings with versions 7 etc. where various items do not work with them.

You may have noticed various phones that will not update past Android 2 .. 3 ... 4 etc. - this is because of limitations in the hardware that will not run later versions.

Android unfortunately has been allowed to develop with ever looser controls leading to these incompatibilities.

Update: Used the Litchi app yesterday on two 25 minute flights with no issues. Will test again tomorrow with the DJI app with airplane mode on.

When I try run DJI GO v3.1.11 on my tablet SAMSUNG SM-T555 (now running Android v7.1.1) it crashing on me left and right during the pre-flight. when I open the app goes to the main screen and the pictures of the drones just jump through the menu and I can never click on my Phantom 3 STD.
With the previous version of Android I have never had a problem of crashes or malfunctions of the App DJI GO
Crash LOG folder on my device/internal memory/DJI/dji.pilot/LOG/CRASH....is empty

You think the ANDROID OS is more and more incompatible after the version 6+.
I agree with you. The Android 7 has many brands and the jump tables of the devices are really different from Samsung to Sony over Huawei and so on. Very tricky.

Here is the latest version of the yesmovies app.

i had the same problem, try deleting the app and re- downloading the app

IF you uninstall the app then delete all related folders on the mobile too. These previous data can disturb a clean install.
