Selling my Phantom 4, how do I delete all of my Personal data like the flight records etc. how do I de-register it from my DJI account? I do not want to be associated with it if the new owner decideds to do something stupid with it.

I buy my phantom from a friend  so You don't need to delete because your drone like I know it's attach in you email account from app. The person who buy the drone from you he have to setup a new account with DJI.The only thing it's the serial number for the warrant

Can try using the factory settings in DJI Assistant

I believe you can reset everything in the settings or in the dji assistant, but from what I've heard the name that was given to it at first stays with it forever.

The name can be changed from within the go app I think

I may not be selling to a friend, but a total stranger. I do not want anything he does with the drone to haunt me if he flies it where he shouldn't

You can't delete the flight data.
However, once whoever you sell it to sets up their account and links it to that account, that will sever the link to yours.
I sold my P3S to a friend. It still shows up in my records, but all flight info ceases as of the date he tied it to his account.
By the same token, he only sees the flight data since he registered it as his.
However, if he ever needs to send it in to DJI for repair, or his drone is ever subpoenaed by the FAA, they will see all of the flight data going back to when it was initially tested by DJI at the factory, prior to being shipped out for sale.

you can delete the flight data

open Assistant 2
open the Developer tools window from the top menu. choose local storage
File
Change debug value from 0 to 1
Factory Enabled change from false to true

Connect Phantom
Choose facrtory test

The Phantom only has room to store about the last 4 flights and every time it flies, the oldest flight gets over-written.

That contradicts what I had been told earlier.
However, I've never known Labroides to give out bad info, so I stand corrected.
