Can you turn up the db in icarus in the uk and it work even tho the GPS will see that i am in a CE country not FCC

Yes ... it works everywhere in the world ....

Basically these utilities override the GPS code line ....

But it will not stop the GPS ( home point ) working or affect it in any other way ?

I got this response today from Icarus over an error I was getting after the latest firmware upgrade:

Dear Mr. *******,

thank you for your interest in our software.

The current version of the app is not compatible with the latest firmware release (1.09.0200).

A new version is actually under test and will be released today or tomorrow.

Strange .... worked fine on mine with latest FW ...
Actually come to think of it .. I was getting strange lock-outs on video and was part of reason I was not certain of location when she went into river ...

I'm not blaming Icarus .... still my fault for over-extending flight.

Don't worry about Solentlife's answer, he uses his drone to the max and has documented a flight that he knew was going to test it to it's full potential. His river episode was not a result of Icarus running. He will be the first to tell you he was the reason it went down.
I have been using Icarus, Litchi and Argtech antenna system for months without issue, that is zero issues.

1 thing that worry me is its only had 100 downloads on the android play store

If it bothers you that much then don't use it. I, and others, have had faultless flights with it installed.

I have just tried Icarus again in response to the e mail from tech support. Works flawlessly with the 1.9.02 upgrade.

My P3S went into the river due to my running out of battery .....

The flight consisted of :

Out to 2km, turn back for about 500m, about turn and out to 5km .... but I was intent on other things and didn't watch the battery level.
At 5km - she auto RTH ... and I then realised I was at great risk of not getting back.

At approx. 1km from home - battery died and down she went.
In total she had flown about 12km's ..... in that one flight ... If I had not made the 500 + 500m about turn near start - she would have got back ... or if I had noticed the increasing wind during the flight that fought my RTH ...
