The PDF ( Release Notes) on the downloads page explains what each update does. BUT sometimes they dont list everything. IE : one time the max speed was reduced with no mention of it in the update, things like that can happen. I persnally always wait about 2 weeks and look at what other members post regarding updates , In most cases unless mandatory you DO NOT need to update unless you wish to , the problem is the Go app may not work if you update that , I always set my I pad for a notification before updating so I have the choice on what updates I wish to recieve . Once you update the go app there is NO way ( unless you stored it on I tunes ) to go back to previous versions .

Donnie,
Agree with what you are saying. DJI has updated the Go App which requires the FW to be updated in the Inspire 1 also and vice versa. If you update the FW and do not update the Go App the aircraft will be unstable (look at what happened to Dobmatt). So the old days of just leaving everything alone does not hold true anymore.
DJI has changed this with all of the drones, I have noticed this on my Mavic, P4P and Inspire 2 also.
