I having problems seeing the map view on my iPad since the last update, the screen is just a gray color, can any of you phantom pros give my a hand with this problem?

Is the pad connected to the phantom? Do you see the telemetry data? And what Go version is it?

Yes the pad is connected yes I see the telemetry data also go ver 3.1.13

May be the WIFI module does not get any video signal. What was upgraded? The IOS or the FW of the copter?

I have the same problem, no map.  All the telemetry works, the video signal is good and the first time after I remove and reinstall the app, I get the map until I close down the DJI Go app.  Then I just get a gray screen.  I am running DJI Go app 3.1.13 aircraft firmware 1.9.20 and IOS 10.3.2

Thot maybe was firmware issue and I've been reading it's not possible to downgrade firmware from latest version...anyone have ideas on solution?

I re-installed DJI GO & I got my maps back I lost the maps after I did the update -- hope this helps

Oh well I did have a map for a short time -- So that dose not work -- lost w/o a map

Keep reinstalling and every time I exit camera view on go I lose maps seems to be no easy fix just have to reinstall again and again and again what a pain in the ....!

I have the exact same problem and I asked before but nobody could help me. I hope you have better luck.

you need to cache the maps via home wifi on the area you fly in before you fly.

Loses maps even when I cache them I've tried everything....from amount of posts on web it seems to be a common problem with new updates

Funny enough, when I use my iPhone with an older version of DJI GO ver 3.1.4 the maps are there.  That leads me to believe it is the DJI GO app that has the error.  

The android Go app ver. 3.1.18 has bot HERE and(or) Google maps on my view.

I guess wait for a new firmware fix for this problem -- I would pay for a program with no problems !!!!!

Thot I did when I dished out 1200 for drone lol guess I'll try litchi. does using litchi void warranty? Does flying  without maps on go void warranty

I have been able to downgrade to 1.8.1 from 1.9.2. I used the SD card option on my P3S. I simply put the 1.8.1 bin file on the SD card and insert it into the camera. I power up the drone as well as the remote and let it do its thing.

Same here works on IPhone but not IPad

Try opening app on internet via wifi or 3g/4g,  open app, zoom map to area to be flown. Then, dont close the app,leave it running, start up the tx and ac at flying site, and then bring up the app. for some reason, closing the app clears the map cache, whereas before the cache remained intact even though the app was closed. This was in Android, and may be true of IOS. I fly Android.  
PITA, I know, but it works in Android.

Hi all, I have just purchased my P4P+ and had all kinds of trouble getting RC to connect with the plane and ended up updating the firmware on everything and now at least I can fly. One thing I have been unable to do is get the map to show when flying. I just have a blank screen with the flight path / snail trail for the flight. Have looked everywhere on how to get maps but so far nothing.
Can someone tell me where to get maps from and how are they uploaded to the RC?

This goes over light bridge,but the maps stay on the tab or phone connected to the RC.
