I have a Phantom 3 Advanced and understand how to update the drone and all but now I have a friend who wants me to update his phantom 4 not sure if it is pro or advanced but im just wandering if i can update this one the same way i update my phantom 3.  Just take the microchip out and put the download on there or what also he already updated the remote controller.

Any help would be appreciated. THANKS

The firmware update is not the same for the P4 as it is for the Phantom 3.  You must upgrade the firmware though the DJI 4 Go App or the DJI Assistant software.

Do not update the P4 at this time. There are lots of issues with the firmware

I have to so I can fly it tho that's the problem otherwise it will not let us fly

You should just have to sign in on the dji go app and it should let you fly. If you don't sign in then it will restrict your flight to 50m or something like that
