The number of posts both here and in other related forums asking for help with the Go 4 App is overwhelming.
This is  a sophisticated piece of software and is essential for getting the best out of any DJI drone.   
It seems to me that any company selling a complex product costing thousands of pounds (dollars) has a responsibility to provide a comprehensive manual explaining how the associated software works.
I, and many others both in the USA and UK, are pretty disgusted at the cavalier attitude adopted by DJI over the Go 4 app and the lack of an official manual.
Come on DJI!  Face up to your moral responsibilities and get that manual written please.

As many other DJI customers have said both here and on Mavic Pilots forum, on-line videos are inadequate for practical use.   We need a .pdf document which we can print out and tag the pages which are of most interest.   It seems to me that DJI are trying to dodge the issue yet again!

You get a number of manuals with the Mavic fly more combo, but, they are so small I can hardly read them
I did got to DJI site & download the manual, all 64 pages of it, Other than some translation issues, manual is a good read

It's a necessary read, but it doesn't cover the app and its settings. So many questions and much confusion could be avoided by providing documentation detailing what each setting does and its intended use.

While I agree with you, DJI would have to constantly devote staffing to revise and update the manual to reflect all the changes and "improvements" that each revision of the software introduced or revised.

While DJI could certainly afford to hire those people, the question remains as to the core competencies if they were hired.  It would have to be people who are both technical enough to understand what they are writing about & explaining AND write it for customers who are neither engineers nor pilots - and that's the real challenge.

As someone who is an engineer and was a technical instructor and document creator - it is a pretty specialized skill that I find severely lacking in today's tech products.  YMMV

No doubt why they don't currently do so, they seem to have made the calculation that it's cheaper to leave their customers in confusion and to load up their support channels with questions that could easily be cleared up by documentation.

Seems shortsighted to me.

Maybe DJI should set up a wiki to which customers could contribute. Digging through forum messages and tracking down videos that are up-to-date is tough.

Yeah, I had the same problem when downloading the PDF file. But, I've downloaded it a a picture (Jpeg) and it is reasonably readable!

The information I got from this subject was great, and I thought I'd contribute to the tread for other  Beginners by posting a couple of Quick reference sheets I've produced .
I've done this mainly because I have difficulty in remembering the detailed Controller, Go App and adjustment details.
I hope it, other beginners and users can get some advantage.

So there is a manual now but I'd like a downloadable/printable form, and that ISN'T available... come on DJI, it's not rocket science

I am sorry, sir, we suggest using the DJI Goggles for flying our drones. For the third party accessories, we suggest contacting the corresponding product support. Thank you for understanding.
