I was asked by our fair board to get pictures and videos of tavel patterns on the fair grounds. I updated my Mavic befor I went. To my surprise the distance and altitute we fixed,  i went into the main menu and changed the numbers several time, no change.  The numbers stayed to the new height and distance numbers but the mavic would only fly 100 feet high.  Any ideas.

try to remove the dji go app, and reinstall, that's what I had to do.

Did you check for restricted and NFZs?  Very odd.

Have you logged in to the Go 4 app after updating while accessible to the internet? W/o logging in, you are limited in height and radius distance.

only thing is it happend after a battery
meaning i was flying with no issues swapped the battery out and it happened.

anyway. ill let you know if the login thing worked tomorrow

Reinstall the APP, then log into it, try to restart the drone and the APP for several time, see if it works.

Weird that it happened after a battery change -- maybe the battery's firmware is out of sync with the Mavic's?

I was unaware that the batteries had that kind of tech. How would one upgrade that? Ive used all these packs several times and not had this issue..

So this morning. New battery logged out and in and now I can't get over 12 ft

Ok so swap from Nvidia shield to note 5 and no problems. Uninstalled and reinstalled to the sheild and is now working like normal.

Hopefully this is not the start of other issues

Yeah, it's rare that the batteries have to be updated. When you perform a firmware update, the battery on the Mavic will be updated if necessary. After an update is complete I always add my other batteries and restart the process to see if battery updates are required.

As far as the location being restricted and regs problem.  The Fair Broad issued the request and permission. You still have to fly with common sence
We stayed over the track and over the large bluildings.  No flying over crouds.  Great videos with good people traffic patterns.  Once we were done and packed up , a . phantom3 showed up doing all the things you should not do. Security took care of him pretty quickly.
