After installing the new DJI GO 4 application (4.1.4), the new gimbal tuning does not function. I have uninstall the app and reinstalled without changing the result. The number on the tuning screen does not increment or decrement and stays at zero no matter how many times you press the adjustment arrows. The gimbal jerks a little but does not adjust to the right or left.

It looks a though this new feature needs attention by DJI people.

Maybe a new firmware is on it's way to support this.

Hi All,

I attempted the gimbal tuning function in the Go 4 application and have a similar experience--selection of right left buttons does not increment or decrement the counter in the middle.

Also, what is this function supposed to accomplish?  Just move the gimbal a little left or right?  Does it impact some of the minor drift after a yaw?

Can someone from DJI provide commentary as to how the gimbal tuning feature is to work?

DJI, please respond to our questions about this new functionality. FAA rules regarding maintenance for 107 pilots requires being up to date on firmware and software. This is hard to comply with if DJI does not provide sufficient information to correctly operate and maintain the SUAS.

Agreed.  As Part 107 RPIC's, we are completely responsible for the airworthiness of our drones and are held accountable by the FAA.   DJI needs to respect the position we are in and provide instructions and descriptions of the features that are being implemented.

The software was obviously NOT tested and bug-checked.  Incredible how a significant mistake like this could be made.  The "Gimbal Yaw" feature not only doesn't update its numbers when you tap, but IT CHANGES THE ROLL and NOT the YAW!!  And, BTW, we already have a Gimbal Roll setting...so this was a big blow it.

Can a DJI representative on this forum tell us how the gimbal tuning function is to be used and what does it correct?

DJI GO 4 version 4.1.5 is now out and the yaw adjustment is working somewhat.  At least it now moves the camera.  The numeric indicator that is supposed to show the amount of yaw adjustment is not working.  It remains at zero regardless of the amount of yaw adjustment made.  At least it is now adjusting the actual camera Yaw.  A big improvement although not yet complete.
