There is no special permit needed. You need to avoid flying from Parks as it is prohibited. and avoid flying over masses of people or over monuments.  try to stay away from Buildings as well. Fly safe!

Hey, I'm looking for areas to take off in Chicago. As you mentioned, I got the no go from the park admins. Any suggestions where to take off from? Thanks!

you can try from the river walk, or from the water treatment plant park close to Navy Pier, it is not a County park. fly safe!

i did, i had been to Chicago before so in my head i knew what type of shots i wanted and how i wanted to create my video, kind of like a storyline in my head. Thanks for watching and im glad you liked!

it is a great place! by the way, i see that you have included a message of available licensing of the footage im assuming at your website? i hope you know you cant license footage that has landmarks which need a video release in order to commercialize this footage. these landmarks are protected by intellectual property laws. hope you know and if you dont, just a little FYI so you dont get in trouble.

understood. this is only licenseable for editorial content unless he buyer get the proper releases.
