Well, i'm having a great time with my Spark. It's my first drone and I'm just getting used to it. I bought it as wanted to be able to travel lightly with it and in that respect, it really doesn't disappoint.
It's so discrete-I've just come back from a week in Ibiza and made this video using the Spark and the DJI Osmo Mobile for my iPhone 6 Plus (can't afford a 7 as spent money on Spark). the manger of the club I was in filming my DJ friend on my Osmo Mobile asked if I would take some aerial footge of the sky bar-I almost bit his arm off at the opportunity. Talk about easy to launch in a small space.

Beautiful video,  What program did you use for editing?  The transitions are exceptional.

Hey thanks! I use Final Cut Pro to edit. The zoom transitions you can get for free off the internet and add them to FCP. It's my first drone-I'm really loving it so far. Sad for folks having a hard time on here. It's horrible when your tech doesn't work like it should.

Thank you! Happy to (try) and explain any bits of video and how it was achieved. The biggest tip is the 'speeding up' moments are partly there to cover my jerky camera work. I recommend it as a cheat ;-)

hahaha good idea! i'm ok with smooth flying but i cant find an affordable software that is actually decent, iMovie just don't cut it.

Yeah iMovie is restrictive. FCPX all the way., but it is an expensive app.

hahaha i definitely need to do better but I'm doing ok for my first drone. i just wish i could afford the final cut pro x but unfortunately i probably never will

I use LUTs from these people;

You literally have to dial them down to 30% or so, so don't be surprised if looks dreadful at first. Just dial it down-lots.

Also how are you getting on mixing the 30fps footage with different camera frame rates? I have my Sony RX100 IV recording at 25fps (UK) and I'm wondering about how to handle that.

Yes i'm absolutely sorting out what issues i can mainly with exposure in FCPX as I'm new to drone game and relying heavily on auto exposure. The colour range, i have to say-is fantastic, so not doing much there other then try and match one seas colour to another. Most LUTs I used are ready for video that is filmed in that D-Log, washed out style, so i.e the LUTs can go on them straight away without too much issues, but the Spark video is basic, but you can still get great results by turning the effect really far down. 30% max (when normally on D-Log you would stay about 70%+)

I'm also UK so if you were using an editing program like FCPX, my understanding is to drop the whole project to whatever equipment is using lowest frame rate-so in your case, drop to 25fps for whole thing, as playback smoother with frames being omitted rather then created. That video was only filmed with an iPhone when not with Spark, so i used the 60fps setting as divisible by 30 (the Sparks)-thats kinda a golden rule for smoother playback.
