Hi...As A newbe to all this I am trying to get a new i-pad 4 to download (via the app store) the dji go 4 app. BUT even though my i-pad has the latest version 10.3.3 installed when I try to install the dji go 4 app. it keeps showing 'Cannot download This app is not compatible with your device' !! HOW can I even get started in setting the drone up if I cannot even install this app.?? Please can any body help me out over the first steps in getting my new drone / I-pad 4 working ???

could it be in your apple app setting  in how it download app from the store?

Hi neo0 Not 100% sure what 'settings' you mean But I have just been through all the setting's and everythings 'looks' O.K.

I have even downloaded the app on my main computer into itunes and tried to install it onto my i-pad from there and that still shows the same message !! Any more advice on this as my drone is getting tired of being a 'paper weight' >>>Many thanks  t

Hi ALL Just found out the problem I have been having installing the app. Like a 'dumb bo' I have purchased a i-pad 4th gen. and NOT a i-pad MINI 4 ...and so that is the reason why...Alltough the 'list' http://www.phantomhelp.com/tips/18/best-tabletsphones-for-dji-go states you can use a i-pad MINI 2 then looking at the spec's of these it shows it has a IOS 7 and when I look at https://itunes.apple.com/WebObje ... ls=1&app=itunes it shows 'Compatibility: Requires iOS 9.0 or later' BUT also states 'iPad mini 2 Wi-Fi + Cellular'...NOW before I make another bob-boo can anybody advise to wether or not I can 'run' the app. on a i-pad mini 4..Because I am a little confused at the mo...Many thank's to anybody who can give me a speedy reply

Both iPad Mini 2 and iPad Mini 4 are on the recommended list. May I have a screenshot of the tablet ABOUT interface? I'd like to check the exact status.

Hi...I spent hours travelling to a store that was listing a i-pad MINI 4 tonight..Go home and set it up,up-dated the ios to 9.3.5 And then tried to download dji go 4 only to be pulling my hair out as this i-pad also shows 'CANNOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP IS NOT COMPATABLE WITH YOUR DEVICE'  So what the hell is going on NOW ???? I cannot phone i tunes help line until tommorow night either.So another night wasted and still no further on!!!!

Just to finish my night of it is interesting to 'note' that if you look at the app's reviews there have been 2 other user's that have left reveiws on the 4th and 7th Aug. in ref to being unable to install this app !!! NOT looking good for us i-pad users so far !!

Hi All..Just to give you an update after buying a 'apple i-pad mini 2 from https://uk.webuy.com/ and spending a long phone call to apple/support who were VERY helpfull in finding out why I could not install the dji go 4 app they found out be looking at the 'f-(number) on the back of my i-pad that THIS WAS NOT a mini 2 BUT just a mini !!! And that is why the app would not work..I was sold the wrong item !! The support team also supplied me a full list of how to identify your I-pad https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201471 which may be of use to anybody.So after taking 'that' wrong i-pad back to the store I have now got a apple i-pad mini 4 .Set it all up and finally managed to download / install and run the DJI GO 4 APP. O-JOY'S..I just hope that when I get to use it that it run's O.K. Time will tell..I hope that this is some help to other's ..All the best and happy flying...

I was contemplating buy a Mini 4, then I found DJI's CrystalSky monitor, close to the same price as an IPad, but what a difference in brightness, compatibility and features, got the 5.5".
Works flawlessly with my P3P and Mavic.

Great you have managed to sort your issues out, with all the updates going on, on tablets and phones, it can be a nightmare getting something that works. I'm not an apple person so I work on Android, and its the same here, some devices work fine, some not, I bought a tablet that was on the list of approved, only to find it wouldn't download from the play store, had to go through a 3rd party route, and then when I tried to fly using it,  it was so laggy it was unusable. Like anything in the world finding something that hits the sweet spot can be a nightmare.  Hope you enjoy your flying.

I have an iPad 4 mini and the app from the app store loads fine.  I just had to reinstall the GO4 app as it didn't run properly (map section was blank) after the recent 10.3.3 update.
