Is there any way to bypass the GPS so the drone will take off?

I didn't know the DJI software kept track of TFRs; has this affected you previously?  With your wifi and data off, the software would have no way of downloading info for these TFRs.  And just from my experience as a full-scale pilot near Chicago when that "other president" was in office, TFRs for VIP movement are usually not scheduled so far in advance.  Or at least they're not _published_ so far in advance.

You can apply for unlocking the drone. Send an email to flysafe@dji.com, they will help you to unlock.

TFRs for the actual "president"  movements are not imposed by DJI. They are imposed by DJT...

This has not affected me before. But I've never had a 'Red' restriction since owning my P4P.

I was flying in Jersey City DJI GO app gave me a no fly warning. P4P started to come down near a passing train! Damn near had a heart attack!

Temporary Flight Restriction.  It is a standard aeronautical term.

Aloha Antonio,

Good one!  If it was not for the humor value of this thread, I would think it would be shut down since what is being proposed is totally illegal.

When Obama used to visit Hawai'i, the entire island of O'ahu used to be shut down for flying, usually for two weeks.  Very few aircraft of any type were allowed in the air until he was off-island again.

On a different note, the Secret Service is testing a drone based aerial security enhancement system during this long vacation of Trump's.  The quadcopter based design is tethered with a filimentatious cable that will allow the quad to reach 400 feet.  Kind of interesting.

Aloha and Drone On!

No. Daguerreotypes were invented about 49 years later... But probably they used pigeons to send news to the HQ... or dropped pieces of parchment with informations.

Aloha Antonio,

Not just the French, all combatants used tethered balloons during WWI.  The Trump tether provides filimentatious fiberoptic HD video at 8K and zoom, plus power, but most importantly, hot air for Trump!

Better is to make no-Trump-zones. He stay where belong to, and the rest all over can fly and have fun.

Aloha Cetacean,

I know about the WWI balloons, but I was talking about those at the end of 1700...  I posted a drawing of a battle in 1794 in the thread about Drones and the US Army

Aloha Antonio,

How did I miss that "18th century" point.  I must have been real tired!
