Hey Osmo Mobile Users,
Anyone having issues wit the DJI Go App not recording sound? I had to uninstall and reinstall the app and now it does not record sound. The native iPhone camera app and Filmic Pro app record sound fine, so I am assuming it is the app.

Yes, it is on.
I discovered last night that when switch the front facing camera in selfie mode, it records just fine. There is an issue with the rear facing microphone.
Please fix it DJI as I do not want to return it.

Just to add...I have an iPhone 5 that had the app updated to 3.1.14 that works fine. My iPhone 6 and 7+ had the app installed fresh (not update) and those are the phones that the sound does not work.

There is a problem with the latest version of DJI Go for iPhone. I too have version 3.1.14 (2798) on my iPhone 7 Plus running iOS 10.3.3. Here is what I am seeing:

1. Video recorded with the DJI Go app does not record sound. My app settings and iOS settings are all correct, so it is not a problem with my phone or my phone's settings.
2. The microphone level indicator on the DJI Go app bounces between low and high volume in a regular pattern. I can confirm that any noise I intentionally make is not recorded, and the pulsing microphone level indicator is not reacting to any noises in the room, either made by me intentionally or ambient.
3. When I press the home button to return to the home screen on my phone, the iOS volume indicator pops up and usually shows a volume level lower than max. Note that I keep the volume level on my iPhone set to max, so the popup is reflecting a volume level that is not correct. Additionally, when I try and change the volume using the buttons on the side of the iPhone, the volume level is stuck. The only way to get the volume level to respond to button presses is to force-quit the DJI Go app.
4. Sometimes the DJI Go app decides to start recording video on its own, and will even bounce between record and stop over and over again, all on its own.

Long story short, there is very clearly a problem with the latest version of the app on iOS. These issues were not present in the previous version.

UPDATE: I can get the sound to work at 1080 30 FPS. But when I switch to 1080 60 FPS, no sound is recorded.

While previewing the mic symbol says EXT and shows movement but as soon as you start recording nothing comes through and there is no movement in the audio bar or sound being recorded. I already toggled on and off the mic settings in app and the record audio in camera audio control and nothing. Is there a work around? Tried it on an iPad and same deal, very disappointing considering the camera has its own mic and even an external mic in which are being rendered useless because the app insists on using the iPhone mic and doesn’t even manage to do that successfully.

Hi PabloR, sorry for the troubles with Osmo, there is also no audio in the original footage in the SD card right? If so, it is recommended to send in the device for further evaluation, before sending in, please try to flash the firmware via the tutorial video below, thank you.
