So we're off to Mexico in a couple of weeks time and all my research so far implies that I should have no issues taking my Spark there and flying as long as I comply with normal safe practices and having regard for people's privacy, i.e. not flying over the resort, etc. which I have no intention of doing so. I will be flying it mainly on an adjacent beach to the resort that has no developments on it and over the sea.

Has anybody recently taken their drone to Mexico and has any advice at all?

Does anybody know what the transmitter output strength will be, i.e. FCC, CE or the minimum?

Thanks!

check with import rules and regulation.  I heard (you tube) that someone had to pay an import fee/tax.  If I remember correctly it was like $150.

I don't think this is true.  I just went through Ensenada with mine, even went through the x-ray scanner and nobody said anything about it.
OP you'll be fine, probably put it as a carry-on that way nobody takes it..
