So,
Bit of bad luck on a 3 week trip around the Rocky Mountain states; my Mavic's gimbal has become completely useless and is flipping out each time I turn it on.  Tried all the suggestions in this other thread but nothing's worked:  http://forum.dji.com/thread-108442-1-1.html
Despite having Care Refresh on the existing Mavic, I've bitten the bullet and bought a new Mavic to get us through the remaining 2 weeks of our trip.  I'll get the old Mavic repaired when I'm back in the UK.

Question for the DJI guys;
Is there any way to buy Care refresh on the new Mavic for my home country?  I've bought this replacement Mavic in the USA but in 2 weeks' time, I'll be home in the UK and I read Care refresh only covers you in the country you take it out in.
So, can I get Care refresh on my new Mavic for the UK whilst still in the USA to get it within the 48 hour activation limit...

Exact same thing happen to me. Was about to fly to South Africa than my brand new Mavic Pro gimbal started to move as your.
When I came back in Paris I sent the drone in repair. But DJI just refuse to repair the drone under warranty. They decided to charge me 1089€!

Yes, you can buy the DJI Care refresh on the new Mavic for your home country. DJI Care Refresh only works within one coverage region. Unfortunately I've been in the mountains without any signal or WiFi for 2 days... Think I've missed the window for purchase.
Is there scope for buying this beyond the 48 hours window?
