This is more of a question concerning the use of certain mobile devices with DJI drones, in particular the Samsung Galaxy S8+.
First a little background: I used to fly my Phantom 3 Standard with a Samsung Galaxy S5, but now fly it with a Samsung Galaxy S8+. When flying with the S5, a map of my location would download automatically and appear in the map window of the app. When I switched to the S8, that stopped happening.
1. Does this happen to anyone else using the S8+ (or any other device)?
2. Does anyone know why this happens and/or which settings I might need to change on the phone to get it to transfer my position on a map to the controller wirelessly (via WIFI) as the old S5 did?
I currently use a workaround via a USB cable from phone to controller but it's a nusiance and would prefer that it worked as it originally did.
If anyone has this issue and would like to know how to download the map via cable I would be happy to explain.
Yes I keep all devices updated relentlessly.
Thanks in advance
