Hi there!

I have trouble with video-recording!


When my spark is placed on ground it can record video for endless time, till the battery is dead, but in the air it records for 30 second and then stops!


I need to jump to photo mode than back to video and start recording again. Sometimes even this way doesn't work, DJI GO 4 shows that there is no SD-card. Tried 3 different SD, same problem.

Any solutions?

What kind of SD cards have you tried? Are they in our compatible list?
How about formatting SD card? Does the issue persist? Please open ''Display Camera OSD '' in camera settings and provide us the screenshot of error message. Thank you.

I tried Sandisk 16 GB UHS-1 Micro SDHC, Transcend 16 GB UHS-1 Micro SDH and Transcend 32 GB UHS-1 Micro SDH - same result. Sandisk can be found in compatible list. Tried to formatting every SD-card - no luck.

OSD window say WRITTING SLOW but ONLY when Spark in air, when it placed on surface it can record video for 5+ minutes. How can it be?

No such problem on .400 Spark firmware!

So, I fixed problem.

I tried to just reflash Spark's .500 firmware - no luck, then I downgraded FW to .400 - BINGO and after this upgraded back to .500

Now everything fine!

You are awesome.  We are glad to hear the problem got sorted out.
Please keep us posted if there is further questions.

Post like this goes to show that not every firmware issue is a "Return to DJI cos your firmware sucks" issue.  Sometimes the user has to use his initiative.

Sounds like it's an issue with a slow SD card.    I was advised that using the Drone capable SD card like Sandisk Extreme series are the way to go.   

Edit : If it has been ok and only doing it since Firmware update then I would let DJI know.. Something to be looked at.

Hi, sorry for the troubles that it caused. I would suggest using a different SD card to see if there will be changes. Please see the recommended SD Card for our Spark below.

It is compatible but those b*st*rds from WISH where i bought the card, lied!!! Its not class 10 card as it tells me that its slow sd card.
