Do you see the flight ending at 390ft elevation and last known location 390ft up, no decent no landing no nothing.

Upload your flight log to http://phantomhelp.com/logviewer/Upload/ and post the link. Airdata isn't very useful for analysis.

I did that.  It took 3 weeks for them to tell me my 14 minute old drone was not faulty and they will not do anything.  You can clearly see the flight ends at 390ft in the air.  The drone never returned home or showed a decent or land.  It did this after a black screen on my p4+ monitor.  Drone was never found.

Looks like you ran out of power and it auto landed, probably still sitting there waiting for you to collect it...

You would get better assistance if you uploaded the log to phantomhelp as requested above, much easier for us to see what happened.

Assuming critical landing was set for 10% battery, it should have flown in a straight line back towards home for about 1.5 minutes after you lost contact before auto landing, have you checked the location 1.5 minutes back towards home at RTH speed?

Since the battery is showing zero charges, presumably you had given it one half charge and had not run it in at all?

Judging by the temperature rise of the battery towards the end of the log, the battery was just about empty at that point and may have made an immediate landing soon after rather than returning home for 1.5 minutes.

The batteries need a bit of running in and a few full charges to get the % full figure accurate, I think it was a bit out, but you didn't have enough left to make it home anyway, you turned around at 46% left so only had 36% left before the 10% critical landing would have been reached.  You used 54% to get there, 36% to get back would be difficult and I think Airdata is saying that you had a 6mph headwind on the way back. (unless that is a tail wind?)

For a first flight, that was too ambitious!

Wouldnt a auto land show it decending and last known location at 0ft?  It ended at 390ft up!  No the drone was not in the area it was last known.  It is a field and we searched it.

Auto land would show on the record as decending and landing.  Not last known location at 390ft up.

Auto land would show if you had communication at the time, but 6000 ft away you had poor reception, lots of drop outs shown in the log, then you lost communication completely.  It should then have set off home due to the lost communication and would have travelled some distance in a straight line back to the home point.  We know it probably did set off home since you didn't find it at that location, the question is how far it got, it definitely didn't have enough battery left to make it all the way back.

Battery temperature in that log looks OK, don't understand why the other thing shows it rise at the end.  I think the voltages are a bit low for the % given but there was some left.

Can you get someone to fly a drone in a straight line from the point you lost communication back to the home point to search for it, should be somewhere along the way, I guess not far along.

I would estimate that it attempted to autoland, you were at 390ft AGL and with a 6MPH wind it most likely drifted in that direction, if it faulted to ATTI then that 6mph wind could push it out further than you had anticipated while it descended. It's definitely in the area. I would suggest having someone fly their UAV in the last known location or widen your search radius. Hopefully it's still intact just waiting for you to pick it up.

We will search some more but I was right off the highway so I am sure someone saw it and took it.  It was a tail wind and 19% would have got it home easily.  Something went kookoo.

Neither of which happened on the record

No reason to think it went into Atti, it had lots of GPS satellites.

However it may have been stolen by an eagle: "RTH: Backing up to avoid obstacle" @ 390ft

So why the log message: "GEO: You are in a Warning Zone (Unpaved Airports). Fly with caution."?

Ya that wasnt on the other view of log.  I dont know where that came from...it moved on after that.  Unless the sensors messed up and that made it go kookoo.

18 degrees off north and it is summer so the sun will go around to NW, I was wondering if the sun got into the edge of the view but I don't know the timing of sunset for your area for that date or how far towards north the sun goes at your latitude.  The obstacle avoidance doesn't like flying into a low sun and there is an obstacle avoidance warning so it seems a possible explanation.

Most of the current problems are with a firmware update to the P4 and I think this is a P4P so I don't think that is connected. But I don't follow all the P4P problems so I'm not sure.  I also don't understand why it went in and out of RTH mode on the way home, that may be a question for the P4P experts if it wasn't you doing it, or maybe ask DJI support to explain it since it does look like it affected the safe return...

I feel like we're missing some data from the end of the flight ... the down link was intermittent at the end of the log.

3.6-ish volts in each cell at the end is getting down there, but should have been enough to keep it in the air. I believe 3.4 is where you start to consider changing out your underwear.
