just wondering what order you turn your spark on and why you do it this way?

the order i use:

-turn on RC
-turn on airplane mode and enable wifi on phone
-open dji go 4 app and wait for RC to connect to phone via wifi
-turn on AC and wait for green light to ensure connectivity
-take off

I do this in reverse to power down.

this method seems to work best and is the fastest for me.

And change Wi-Fi in 2.4 ghz

Dji plz  update app for select manual at start AC WiFi mode.. 5.8 or 2.4 tnks

Thanks for sharing this.  I was always confused by which order to start up things.

I always turn on/off the RC before anything else. If there is an issue, it's best to try to be in control!

i am unsure of a correct way but this way works best for me. it conserves a little AC battery this way as well.

I'm using OTG, and I've never had much success connecting to RC first, then phone, so my order is:

RC
APP
Connect cable to phone
Wait for orange light to become solid
connect cable to RC
Wait for app to say "rc connected"
Spark
Wait for RC light to turn green

I'm saving the spark for last, to maximize available battery.  This procedure works for me the vast majority of time.  Whenever I've connected the cable to RC first, then phone, I have difficulty connecting RC and phone vast majority of time.

this is the procedure i used when i used OTG. i am not using OTG any more until it is fully supported. the only times i have ever had problems with the drone is when using OTG.

Good observation.  The reason I use OTG most of the time is that I've never NOT had connection issues when flying wifi.  I can't recall a clean flight with wifi, ever.

This is my way;

-conect OTG cable and wait for RC to connect to phone
-take off

For the drone and RC part, we always recommend powering on the RC first and then the drone for start the drone; and shut down the drone first then RC when powering off.

Yes, that is to ensure that the drone is under-control by the controller. You are doing right.
