I'm looking to upload a picture that is about 45mb, so what's the best way to post it directly on this forum? Any help will greatly be appreciated.

You would need to use something like Dropbox or Google Drive and then post the link. But make sure you have shared the photo.

You can post pictures directly (assuming your profile allows it), there is a limit though of 2MB for file size.

If you want to resize it then it can be posted by going into 'Advanced' mode (top right in reply window).
Then click on 'picture' in the icons at top of page, sellect image and upload.

If you wish to use your 45MB file then the only way is as suggested above by 'Jenee 2', using a third party host.

you have to certain amount of points, right now you are student pilot, so as you reply more and login more you get more points and you will be able to add larger files

Pinterest is an easy way of storing photos and videos in which they are linked to a URL.  
Then just link the URL in the text box.

if you go to your homepage and click on reminders/system-reminds  and the latest "see what I can do" you will see what you can do and what you can't do and your download limit...

Yes as stated above, when ever you post more and more often your forum ranking slowly increases.
