I took my Mavic on a roadtrip to see the eclipse. It was well packed in the shoulder bag with the gimbal clamp in place during transport.
When I arrived, turning on the Mavic (clamp removed) gave me the gimbal overload message with smoke pouring out of the Mavic.

This seems to be an extremely common issue and is normally covered by warranty, but my "repair bill" is coming out to $210.

Can a mod help me understand how this isn't a product malfunction, the Mavic has to be able to go on a car ride without turning into a fire hazard.

Thanks!

Yet another Gimbal Overload repair:

This appears to be a wide spread issue that should be covered by the 1-year warranty.
Admins can you please help escalate?
