Been shooting stuff for the last week or so and just put this together. This is my first time ever owning one of these or flying one. I'm pretty impressed, loving this thing.

No not smudges. It's a grading filter from Red Giant. This particular one puts a blur on the left and right of the frame. The original footage is clean.

I realize this is an artistic choice and forces the eye to the center of the frame but I personally found it taking my eye away. Just my 2 cents.

By the way, not familiar with what is normal up there but is it unusual to see a humongous rock pile just sticking out around all that flat terrain?!?

I disagree, I thought the vignetted blur added depth and interest!     Kept me inside the magic.
