My husband mentioned a while ago that it would be fun to have a drone.
I want to get him one for Christmas and found a package that looks like a good option to me. Included are:

DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ Quadcopter with FPV HD Video Camera and 3-Axis Gimbal.DJI Part28 Phantom 2 Series 9-Inch Prop Guards (White)
DJI Battery for Phantom 2 and Phantom 2 Vision (White)
HPRC HPRC2700PHA2 Hard Case With Foam for Phantom Vision 2 (Black)   


Does that look like a good starter pack?
Would the Inspire1 be over-kill as a first drone?

I'd appreciate any input.

That sound like a good package, just make sure it is the very latest version of the Phantom Vision 2+.

What a lucky husband! As for your choice my best opinion is to go to your nearly radiocontrol modelling shop and purchase the goods because the knowledge needed is too much for these things to fly, setup and service. If your husband is a newcommer in the hobby then that is my best advice to you.
